To date Lucie Bennett’s work has focused on the female body through which she explores female identity and sexuality. Her oeuvre encompasses paintings made from pared down line drawings, block colour forms, and abstract compositions where human, organic and botanical forms merge.

Having worked across many different mediums including neon, collage, latex and laser-cut acrylic, she is first and foremost a painter whose central medium has been gloss paint on prepared aluminium. Her first original screen prints were released in 2005 and since then she has built up a substantial body of widely collected limited edition silkscreen works, paintings and works on paper. Bennett is currently working on a new series incorporating ceramic pieces with 2D works.

Bennett has exhibited widely and internationally since 2001. She gained a BA from Manchester Metropolitan University in Interactive Arts, graduating in 1997. She also studied at L’Ecole Regionale des Beaux-Arts de Nantes in France and at Wimbledon School of Art. She has works in the art collections of the Groucho Club, The Allbright and Virgin Group. She lives and works in London.
